While doing a residency at LightWork at Syracuse University during the winter of 1976, it snowed so much that my planned Underwear in the Landscape project changed when I fell into crusted snow that was over my head. I finally inched myself out of the hole, and returned to LightWork which was downstairs from a boys dorm. These young men used my box of lingerie to select from and display to me.
